When I was using VS2003, I was able to compile my asp.net project locally on my machine and copy it to the production server and it would run just fine. It worked for me. Not the answer you're looking for?

Source Error: Line 1: <%@ Application Codebehind="Global.asax.cs" Inherits="'WebApplication1.Global'" %> This error occurs when you create a new web application in asp.net using visual studio.net and without compiling the application, you try it would seem that the problems I had during the conversion had removed the web application project from the build for some reason.
So, the solution was simple: select your web-site in Solution Explorer and remove it from the solution, then right click on the solution and select Add -> Existing Project (not Web I deployed to IIS on server and got this. It's quick & easy. The solution thus is to change the output path of the website back to bin after you change the build configuration.

ASP.net is set to 2.0 in IIS.
In fact, the *default* model for VS 2005 is now "inline", instead of "codebehind". Thanks for your help!
