Ended up having to download and installa previous version of Java, version 8u20 (the newest version is 8u25, which seems to cause the problem). I can confirm that this is the cause of my object exist errors and uninstalling update (KB2918614) resolves the issue. When I click that button, I receive a follow up error message: "Installation failed.
- I uninstalled the old Java version, installed the failed one from Java.com and when the error 1603 arriwed, i just clicked ok.

If that doesn't work; go into SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING (use the F8 key on Startup) and use either program to remove the Ask Stuff.
I have tried installing just the client, the client with Admin Console, the CLient with Snapshot, Scanning and every other possible combination - all of these produce the same error. also you need to check the registry entries for that ,untill and unless every entries are not removed this issue will be there. I renamed those variables with a "_BAK" at the end (there are 2 system and 1 user) and this allowed the java install to complete successfully.
