Apache Error None Could Be Negotiated
I usually export projects from one box to another, and when I imported the project to my Ubuntu 13.04 box I got this problem. That solved the problem without modifying the mime.conf file. It was totally *me* who added MultiViews in the Virtual Host option set. My current path on the server is /project/engine, and I've dropped an .htaccess file in that directory to perform my rewriting: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^(get|post)/(\w+)$ $1.$2.php It's a pretty simple rewrite. It's hard to focus on Apache2 server management when my primary purpose is to prototype a website on a local server before it goes live, but this problem goes to show For this particular website, we were using Apache to create a more resource-oriented URL scheme. It's a shame when little config issues like this will wastes HOURS of time! these sites explain the problematic behind well and (3) gives a good startingpoint for .htaccess rules.
So simple in the end... are setup and a Directory section with all your rules. add logging... Sometimes it's just practical to normalize.
